My name is Jeremiah May, I have always aimed to make it my purpose to live quietly and peacefully, mind my affairs, and work with my hands (1 Thes. 4:11). At times, I have been criticized and verbally abused, but I made it my aim to bless. When antagonized, tolerate it and endure. When slandered, try to be peacemaking and answer softly (1 Cor 4:11-13).

Those of us who have decided to follow Jesus are not ashamed of the Gospel (Rom 1:16). The world hated him, and they will hate us (John 15:18). We are not promised a life of comfort, our ways are not His ways, and our thoughts are not His thoughts (Isa 55:8). It is in our weakness that his power is made perfect (2 Cor 12:9-10).

While we are called to be salt and light of the Earth (Matt 5:13-16), our ultimate faith and hope is in Jesus.
